The Application of Colour Energy in Medicine

Throughout history, man has used the sun's energy as medicine. The sick were brought out into the sun to help restore their health. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Chinese all used colour therapy, but they differentiated in the application of the colour energy.

The basis for the scientific explanation of colour therapy came from Sir Isaac Newton, with the discovery of the spectrum.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe examined the effects of colours on the human psyche and demonstrated the close connection between colours and feelings. In 1903, Professor Niels Finsen received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his research in colour therapy.

Finsen proved that colours are independent energies and that specific colour vibrations cause different reactions in the human body and the psyche. In 1933, Dinshah P. Ghadiali wrote about his findings of the medical research and application of colours in the Spectro-Chrome Metry Encyclopedia.
